About Dr. Stephanie Cristina
As I tell the children I work with, I truly believe I have the best job in the world: I am so privileged to spend my days meeting and working with fascinating young people, and their families. If their lives become easier, happier, and more successful as a result of our work together, I have done my job.
I am an Ottawa native, and obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa. I established my private practice in 2003, and joined Nepean Psychological Services in Bells Corners in 2011, after eight years at the Broadview Medical Centre. In 2015 we moved to Barrhaven, under the new name of Village Professional Services. I have worked in child welfare and educational settings, in addition to private practice, and I have over 20 years experience working with children and families, in the areas of special education, psychological assessment and psychotherapy. My key areas of interest are Autism, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Giftedness, and Developmental/ Intellectual Delay. I have expertise in treating anxiety, depression, and behavioural challenges in both children and teens.
I am a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (#3814), and the Canadian Psychological Association. I am licensed to practice clinical and school psychology with children and adolescents.
